An online quiz that grades itself — and Neo drafts it for you
In Ciiircle a quiz is a task in your circle: you write the questions, set when it opens and closes and how long it takes, students answer on their phones, and the questions with a set answer grade themselves. Have a file — PDF, Word or PowerPoint? Ask Neo to draft a quiz from it, and review the draft before you publish.
Question types
| Type | How it is graded |
|---|---|
| One right option | Automatically |
| Several right options | Automatically |
| True or false | Automatically |
| Short answer | Automatically, against the answers you accept |
| Number | Automatically, with a tolerance if you want one |
| Essay | By you |
Already have your questions in Word or a message? Paste them into the quiz builder and it turns them into questions for you to review.
Settings
- A time it opens, and a time it closes.
- A time limit per attempt, counted on the server, not on the student's phone.
- How many attempts, and which counts: the highest or the latest.
- Shuffled questions and options, or one question per page.
- When students see their score: at once, after it closes, or when you release scores — and whether, and when, they see the right answers.
- A pass mark, or a practice quiz that does not count.
- The circle's chat pauses while the quiz is open.
- Give it to chosen students only, and give one student extra time or an extra attempt.
Results and grading
You see every student's result and answers, grade essays, and add a note to any answer. A finished quiz is written into the student's Academic Passport; a practice quiz is recorded as done, without a score.
Making a quiz with AI, with Neo
Upload the file to the circle and ask Neo “make a 10-question quiz from this file”. Neo reads it and drafts a quiz with fitting question types, shown to you as a card. Nothing is created until you press confirm, and the draft opens in the quiz builder for you to review and edit — Neo never publishes a quiz itself.
A quiz in three steps
- Open your circle and choose a quiz from the tasks.
- Write or paste the questions, or have Neo draft them from a file, and set the time and attempts.
- Publish — students answer on their phones, and you see results as they come in.
What it does not do
- No camera proctoring during a quiz.
- Neo cannot read scanned PDFs or images; it reads files that contain typed text.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make an online quiz for my students?
Make a circle for your students and share its link, then choose a quiz from the tasks and write the questions. Set when it opens and closes and its time limit, and publish. Students answer in the browser on their phones.
Does the quiz grade itself?
Yes, for multiple choice, true/false, short answers and numbers. You grade essays, and you can add a note to any answer.
Can I make a quiz with AI?
Yes. Ask Neo to draft a quiz from a file in the circle or from a topic. The draft is only created once you confirm, and you review it in the quiz builder before publishing.
Can I set a time limit?
Yes, a limit per attempt counted on the server, so closing the page or changing the phone's clock does not add time.
Can I reduce cheating?
You can shuffle questions and options, pause the chat while the quiz is open, and keep the right answers hidden. There is no camera proctoring.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. You start free, and there is no paid plan today.
