Run a learning centre from one circle
If you run a learning centre, a tutoring centre or an academy, and your groups are spread across WhatsApp chats, paper registers and files everywhere, Ciiircle puts them in one place: a circle for the centre, a circle inside it for each group or teacher, and in each the attendance, assignments, quizzes, grades, announcements and chat. It is free today. Here is the whole picture — including what is not there yet.
The centre is one circle, the groups are inside it
You or the centre's manager make the centre's circle, with a circle inside it for each group. Everyone in the centre's circle sees all the groups and joins the one that is theirs — in one tap, or by request when the group needs approval. The centre's owner and admins can enter any group as an admin, and someone who leaves the centre leaves its groups with it.
Who can do what
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including the circle's settings and handing over ownership. |
| Admin | Run the circle and its members, and set tasks, quizzes, announcements and events. |
| Moderator | All the teaching: tasks, quizzes, grading, announcements, events and attendance — without removing members or changing settings. |
| Member | Hand in work, take quizzes, upload files and chat. |
Attendance
Each session has a register: present, absent or excused. The teacher or a moderator takes it, each student sees their own, and attendance and absence are written into their Academic Passport. Ask Neo “how is attendance?” and it sums it up for you.
Assignments, quizzes and grades
- Tasks with a deadline and points, hand-ins with a file or a link, and a grade with written feedback or a request to revise.
- Quizzes that grade themselves, with opening and closing times, a time limit and attempts, for chosen students if you like.
- Each student sees only their own grades and feedback.
Talking to students
- Pinned announcements with replies and polls.
- A chat for each group, where an @mention notifies the person.
- A calendar of sessions and deadlines, with the meeting link when a session is online.
What Ciiircle does not do (plainly)
- No accounting, fees, subscriptions or invoices.
- No parent accounts, and no SMS.
- No room timetable or booking.
- No video calls inside the site — you put the meeting link on the event.
- Notifications are in the site only; there are no email notifications yet.
If the centre needs accounting software, use it next to Ciiircle: one for the money, the other for the teaching.
Frequently asked questions
Is there free software for running a learning centre?
Ciiircle covers the teaching side of a centre for free: groups, attendance, assignments, quizzes, grades, announcements and chat. What it does not have is accounting, fees and parent accounts.
How do I take attendance?
In the circle you open a register for the session and mark each student present, absent or excused. Students see their own attendance, and the record is kept.
Can each teacher at the centre have their own space?
Yes. Make a circle for each teacher or group inside the centre's circle, and make the teacher a moderator or an admin in it.
Can a student see other students' grades?
No. Each student sees only their own grades, feedback and attendance.
How much does it cost?
You start free, and there is no paid plan today.
